Chinese medical classics are records of the traditional Chinese cultures of diagnosing and treating disease and nurturing health as well. The translation of such classics is a in fact a culture-exchanging activity. Therefore, translators should strive to ensure cultural fidelity in translation by keeping .closest to the original text and adopting methods of ＂literal translation＂ and ＂foreignization＂. They should also pay enough attention to the fluency of translation so as to bring about successful intercommunication.
