The aim of university enrollment in the US is to select the most potential applicants who will become successful in the university. In doing the selection, they will evaluate the comprehensive qualities and other background factors of the applicants, including grades in college preparatory courses (such as AP Program), standardized college admission test (SAT or ACT), High School GPA, Class Rank, etc. But among the many factors, academic ones are the most important. There are lots of arguments on how the college admission test should be improved or even if it is necessary. The experiences, practices and arguments in the American university enrollment deserve our attention, study and reference.
