Reflection on Teaching English to Students in Five-Year Program of Postsecondary Vocational Education

五年制高职学生已经成为学院警察工作部学生的主流。面对学院里的这一特殊群体,如何进行英语教学以实现学院所规定的教学目标。本文从学生、学校、教师三个方面分析其成因,最后提出了相应的对策。

The majority of the students at Daxing Campus are from junior middle schools. They are a special population in our college in the five-year program of postsecondary vocational education. This article analyzes contributive factors that bring about the current situation of English teaching and, from perspectives of the students, the teachers and college policies, discusses how to teach English to such a special group and achieve the required teaching aim. The article also puts forward some corresponding countermeasures.
