Humanistic Dignity: as People's Livelihood Endowed by the Constitutions

有尊严、不羞辱是人性尊严的具体体现,人性尊严是宪法权利的基本内核。民生之本首先在于人应该有尊严地生活、工作。没有尊严便谈不上民生。我们对民生问题的关注必然要求我们的宪法应当给予人性尊严以应有的基础性地位,这是建设社会主义和谐社会、关注民生的题中应有之义,也是国际人权公约的基本要求。

Dignity and not being humiliated are the concrete reflection of the humanistic dignity, which is the basic core of the constitutional rights. People＇ s livelihood first emphasizes that one must live, and work in dignity. Without dignity there would be no people＇ s livelihood. Our attention to the problems concerning the livelihood demands that the humanistic dignity should be endowed with basic correspondent position in our constitutions, which is essential to the constructing of the harmonious socialist society and caring of the problems about people＇ s livelihood, and it is also the basic demand in the International Covenant on Human Rights.
