Change Analysis of CET-4 and the Orientation of College English Testing System

大学英语四级考试(CET-4)是检验大学英语教学的重要手段。通过大学英语新老四级的对比研究,结合目前大学英语四级考试的转变,随机调查分析了西安邮电学院本科学生的四级转型测试情况。从我院CET-4转型后的考试来看,我院学生的英语成绩总体不理想,综合英语应用能力不强,同时指出了四级测试变化对我院大学英语考核方法走势的影响,最后结合目前我院大学英语考核方法的现状,提出了相应的建设性对策。

CET -4 is one of important means to evaluate college English. Based on the comparion of the new and old type CET - 4 and the major changes of current CET - 4 testing orientation, a random investigation of non - English undergraduates＇ college English test is issued in Xi＇an University of Post and Telecommunications. The result is that the average scores in CET tests are generally low, and students＇capacity in language use is too weak. Besides, the paper points out that the great changes in CET -4 has a large effect on the college English testing orientation in the university, and some constructive measures and effective teaching patterns are correspondingly put forward at the end of the paper.
