According to the author, India's marine strategy has grown out of nothing and has evolved from a coastal waters one to a deep sea one. New Delhi has stretched its feeler into Southeast Asia and South China Sea areas while seeking a dominant position in the whole Indian Ocean. Such a marine strategy of India's will undoubtedly have a great effect on China's exploitation and transportation of energy resources and be closely related to China's energy security and economic development.
