Nonverbal Communication and Foreign Language Teaching

交际有两种方式:言语交际与非言语交际。在日常生活里,我们经常使用语言作为一种有效的交流工具,但我们却忽视了非言语交际。事实上,非言语交际是交流中的重要工具。非言语交际的研究范围主要包括体态语、体距和副语言。其功能主要有辅助、替代和强化有声语言。使用过程中应遵循自然、恰当和协调的原则。

Generally speaking, there are two types of communication verbal and nonverbal. Verbal communication is frequently noticed in language teaching, while nonverbal communication is always ignored, which plaYs an indispensable role in communication. Nonverbal communication mainly studies body language, proxemics and paralanguage. It serves three primary functions： complementing, substituting and reinforcing. In addition, it should be used naturally, appropriately and in harmony with verbal language.
