西部大开发是我国区域经济战略的一次大转移;西部经济发展在我国社会经济发展占有着极其重要的地位。西部经济发展要走可持续发展之路,关键在于要树立经济发展的生态文明意识,自然、经济、社会协调发展的意识,以人为本的发展意识和全球家园意识这四个基本意识。

As a big--scale transformation of regional economy strategy in China, the western development occupied a important position in Chinese social and economic development. It is the key for the west economy to keep sustainable development that we must establish four basic consciousness： ecological civilization; balanced development; human--orientation; and global homeland.
