Recalling Incidents of Copying Murals

临摹是古代龟兹壁画的保护与研究中的一项很重要的工作,其意义不仅是资料的记录与保存,更重要的是现代画家认识、研究继承古代匠师技艺必修的功课,需要临摹者付出全身心地努力,既保存壁画被自然力加工过的情趣,又能较完整地展现壁画原本的精神,一幅画面不太清晰的古代壁画,经过画家细心探究的临摹,可以达到使观众震撼的效果。本文主要回忆新疆龟兹石窟研究所成立之前国内画家在龟兹石窟临摹壁画的重要事迹与艰难岁月。

Copying is a very important work due to not only records, preservation and exhibition of material but also an assignment for modern painters to understand, study and inherite technique from artists in the ancient time. In general, after probed carefually by a painter, the copy of an indistinct mural in the ancient time may have a great impact on spectators. In this paper, the author mainly recalled incidents of some painters who copied murals in Qiuci grottoes in those hard times.
