Ushigokoro＇s ＂creative box＂ concept is already popular in Japan; now Shanghai has its first such space, thanks to founder Matsuda Natsuki. Functioning as both a gallery and shop, Ushigokoro＇s walls are lined with small wooden boxes. Artists and designers can rent a box, each lit with a single bulb, to display and sell their wares. The items must be self-made and not available for sale through any other channels.
