From the point of view of structural art, this article discusses the art form of William Faulkner's novel Bear by referring to the deployment of Section 4. Faulkner patterned his literary experiments on parallels drawn from planting and applied cubist technique of collage to his novel. The hegemonic form produced by literary words rather than planting elements causes the reader to ponder various kinds and degrees of artifice and creates the strongest possible impression and breaks. The device which underlines Faulkner' s idiosyncratic method of splicing fragmentation into his works injects profound significance into his novel and conveys his reflection on the history of Southern USA.
