言语对话,广义上讲,指两个或两个以上的人之间会话的记录,多是戏剧和小说的组成部分。同时作为一种文学形式,它经过精心的安排将编写的会话展现出来,反映哲学上或知识上的一种态度。网上聊天室中的虚拟会话用通俗的话讲,实际上是"一只手拍巴掌",并不能激发真正意义上的言语对话,没有言语对话层次上的精神交往,网络聊天室中的虚拟会话只能是一种传播假象。从网络聊天室中虚拟对话与面对面会话的对比可知,虚拟会话仅仅是"媒介即是讯息",会话中的虚拟"主体"因其存在本质只能是一种不真实的主体。

Dialogue, in its widest sense, the recorded conversation of two or more persons, especially as an element of drama or fiction. As a literary form, it is a carefully organized exposition, by means of invented conversation, of contrasting philosophical or intellectual attitudes （Britannica）. The virtual conversations in chatroom, to use a popular phrase, are ＂the clap of one hand.＂ The medium of the Internet does not permit authentic dialogue, which in our view is the key to creativity and culture; instead, it sells the illusion of communication.
