Wang Zengqi was influeneed by Existentialism and Taoism and Confucianism, from which,based on interest,he evolved a unique eoneept of whole life as well as aesthetie and artistic life spirit. His concept of whole life takes freedom,life and individualism as central. It is his unique philosophical thinking that made his novels extraordinarily brilliant in the 20th century, serving as a bridge between Modem Literature and Contemporary Literature.
