考察当下中国传统与现代的关系,就是考察传统文明与现代文明的关系,就是进一步从历史进步的维度考察传统文化与现代文化的关系。社会主义文化和商品经济公共文化是当代中国的两种现代文化形式,二者具有共生融合的必要性与可能性。中国传统文化对现代文化的作用主要体现在两个方面:它可以扩大社会主义文化影响,并与社会主义文化构成当下中国整体性的"德性道德"为商品经济公共文化构筑内在的精神家园;它亦有可能在某种程度上造成人们对社会主义文化的误读,同时作为自然经济文化,它对商品经济公共文化中的"规则性道德"具有负面作用。

To inspect the relationship between tradition and modernity is the study of traditional civilization and modem civilization relations.Socialist culture and public culture on commodity economy are two modern cultural forms in eontemporary China, which are in integration with the necessity and possibility. The influence of Chinese traditional culture on modern culture is mainly reflected in two aspects： It can expand socialist cultural impact and it may also cause to a cerlain extent the misreading of socialist culture;at he same time as the natural economic culture, it will have a negative impact on ＂rules of morality＂ in public culture.
