This paper points out the problems of IT application to teaching administration in Guangzhou City Polytechnic, and elaborates on the content of IT application to teaching administration, including teaching plan management, academic status management, course selection management, course arrangement management, signing up management, examination management, grades management, graduation qualification verification management, and teaching quality evaluation management. It also describes the stages in the construction of IT application to teaching administration： system selection, data initialization, module testing, system running, user training and relates that IT application to teaching administration is of great significance in changing the management conception, standardizing teaching management, enhancing work efficiency and perfecting service quality.
