动词化机制的认知语法考察

A Cognitive Grammar Analysis of Conversion from Nouns to Verbs in Chinese

名词的动词化是汉语研究的热点,但以往研究没能从根本上揭示不同名词动词化的差别和动因。在认知语法框架内对这一现象进行考察发现,基于凸显因素的解释过于简单化,动词化与认知处理过程有着密切关系,受制于多种认知因素。此外,汉语中名词发生动词化时很少能够编码多类相关过程。

Conversion of nouns to verbs has been an important topic in studies of Chinese grammar. However, previous studies have failed to reveal the difference between various types of nouns in their frequency of conversion or the fundamental mechanisms of conversion. An examination of this phenomenon within the framework of Cognitive Grammar indicates that the explanation based purely on prominence is simplistic, Conversion from nouns to verbs is closely related to cognitive processing and thus constrained by a number of conceptual factors. Besides, in Chinese, converted nouns seldom encode more than one type of process.
