摘要
本文介绍了在一个多线索化DBMS核心中的全局共享缓冲管理。用户线索通过缓冲引用和释放操作实现对共享缓冲的锁定和访问。缓冲管理器提供缓冲分配方法,并对请求缓冲的线索进行调度。全局缓冲管理灵活方便,具有可扩充性,适于在其基础上开发不同的多线索DBMS。
This paper describes the global buffer management in a multithreading DBMS kernel. User threads fix and access shared buffers by two operations named reference and release. Buffer allocation algorithms and. scheduler are also provided by the buffer manager. The flexibility and extensibility of global buffer management make it very possible to develop various kinds of DBMS software based on this kernel.
