Sci- Tech novelty retrieval is a kind of special litemaue search,it calls for the institutions and retrieval personnels to take the responsibility for the objectivity and impartiality about retrieval reports. It is difficult for the personnels to search the appointed theme accurately and completely. The authors analyzed the confusedness faced by Sci - Tech novelty retrieval personnels in eondueting retrieval. Based on this, this study puts forward three ways to perfect keyword search, namely to use kcywovds broadly, to develop strategy nearly, to integrate classification and subject indexing.Finally,the euthors advise retrieval personnels to work hard and to master the skills of critical thinking.
