Political Rationality:Cognitive Rationality or Public Rationality——On Sandel's Criticism to Rawls's Conception of Reason

Sandel argued that it is transcendental and closely related to the idea of transcendental human nature- unencumbered self in Rawls＇s adopting the conception of instrumental rationality and public reason in expositing justice principle. Sandel put forward his own conception of reason -- communitarianism--based cognitive reason, in which each individual has the ability to find the purpose of his own and realize the goal of his own.
