Zhang Bai-xi's Ideas on Teachers

张百熙是中国近代著名的教育家。他重视教师培养工作,主持京师大学堂期间,积极从事教师教育实践,参与制定的清末"新学制"章程为教师队伍的建设提供了制度化的保证,这些举措对近代教师教育有重大贡献。

Zhang Bai-xi was a famous educator in Modern China. He paid close attention to the tasks of training teachers. During the period of holding Jingshi High Academic School, he engaged in the practice of teachers＇education activity. The ＂new academic system＂ in the later Qing Dynasty that he participated in, had provided a institutionalized protection for the construction of teachers. He made great contribution to the teachers ＇education of Modern China.
