The Progress and Dynamic of Social Sciences Research in Universities in 30 years

本文回顾了高校社会科学研究改革开放三十年的发展历程,分析了五个阶段的发展动力,总结了前二十五年以改革促发展的经验,提出了后五年及今后以开放促改革的发展思路。

This thesis, in retrospect on the process of thirty years＇ reform and opening of humanities and social science in universities and colleges, analyses the dynamic of its five stages, summarizes the experience of promoting development through reform in the first twenty-five years and proposes a approach of development for future promoting reform through opening to the world. Humanities and social science is being beyond their former instrumental value, and its role is being transformed from the means into the objective, have become a component of comprehensive national strength that promote the social development. In the interaction of social development and the development of humanities and social science, the latter should enjoy priority. More endeavors should be made to further emancipate minds, overstep the ＂national border＂ obstacles in people＇s mentality for humanities and social science, target globally advanced standards when taking to the main orientation of internationalization, blaze a path for prosperity by promoting reform through opening to the world, and construct a world-level system of humanities and social science that is characterized by Chinese style
