中医药学理论和中医药伦理学都是中国的传统文化，同源同根，相生相长。中医药学在理论方面、实践方面、教学方面都始终贯穿着伦理学，中医药伦理学发展史也始终依附着中医药学理论，中医药学从建立之日起就形成了自己的伦理学观点，中医药学理论的形成和发展包含着伦理学内容，伦理学理论自始至终地伴随着中医药学理论的形成和发展。良好的医德医风是中医药学的灵魂，实质上也是中医药学中的伦理学。
