摘要
美国现代诗人罗伯特·弗罗斯特把反讽作为基本的思维方式,巧妙织进诗歌的内在结构中。他善于运用苏格拉底式反讽、戏剧反讽以及由不可靠叙述引起的言语反讽等策略,造成表层语码与深层语码的矛盾甚至悖反,从而赋予诗歌以多重涵义;他注重把反讽提到形而上的高度,即借助宇宙反讽思考世界是否存在终极真理、人类追寻自我价值的意义以及如何使自我在充满悖论的人生中保持平衡等。弗罗斯特诗歌中的反讽策略造就了其幽默风格,诗人以幽默作为洞察和理解世界的方式,同时也是自我防御和解脱的方式,能够使自我的精神获得对于现实的超越。
Irony is a basic pattern of Robert Frost's poetry.By means of various ironic tactics,such as Socratelian irony,dramatic irony and verbal irony,Frost makes his poems particularly ambiguous in meaning.He questions whether there is ultimate truth in the world,explores the significance of pursuing the self value,and looks for ways to find balance in a world full of opposites.Frost's irony makes his humor,which is his way of observing and understanding the world,and also his way of guarding his self against the world.
