熊十力人生哲学是在对古道继承中进行的现代转向,这种转向是通过高扬智识主义的大旗,把知识溶于生命之中,释科学为"日益之学"而进行的。通过对科学精神的诠释,熊氏从"道"的层面把科学思想引入中国的人生哲学之中,承认其人生的积极意义,并通过对传统日益之学和日损之学的发微,构建了立足于中国传统人生哲学之上,又吸收现代西方科学精神、具有时代特征的"返本"之学。

XIONG Shi-li carried out a good traditional philosophy of life, and gave it a modem transformation. Keeping to the stand of intellectualism, he explained the knowledge as an important part of life, and viewed science and technology as tools for consummating human nature. Reinterpreting scientific spirit, he illuminated the essence of intellectualism, and brought the thought of science and technology into the Chinese philosophy of life and endowed it with metaphysical character. Probing into the essence of the ways of increasing-day-and-day and decreasing-day-and-day, XIONG also described a road to finding ego and revealing inbeing in modem times.
