中日关系友好发展符合两国和两国人民根本利益,也是维护亚洲乃至世界和平、发展与繁荣的客观需要。中国几代领导人一贯高度重视中日关系友好发展,积极倡导睦邻友好的对日方针。2008年,胡锦涛主席对日访问的"暖春之旅",站在历史发展全局的战略高度,秉着为两国人民谋福祉的高度负责精神,通过双方领导人坦诚深入地交换意见,达成广泛共识,开启了新世纪中日友好关系发展的新征程。

Friendship between China and Japan is in fundamental interests of the people of the two countries and an objective requirement for peace, development and prosperity in Asia and even in the whole world as well. The Chinese leaders of several generations have attached great importance to the friendship between the two countries and adopted a good neighbourly and friendly policy towards Japan. During his visit to Japan, known as ＂Trip of Warm Spring＂, Chairmen Hu Jintao, standing in the strategic height of the whole situation of historical development and being highly responsible for the well-being of the two countries＇ people, has got to wide common views with Japanese leaders through exchanging views, thus has opened a new phase for the development of China Japan friendship in the new era.
