摘要
英语阅读能力是高职高专学生必须掌握的一项技能。本文通过对阻碍学生阅读能力提高的原因进行分析,指出了目前英语阅读教学中存在的弊端。为改进英语阅读教学,教师应在教学中发挥监控作用,贯彻整体教学的原则,激活学生的非视觉信息,重视阅读后的评价与反馈,以期逐步提高学生的阅读技能。
College students are required to attain English reading skill. However, there exist some faults in the present teaching, which often hinder students' improvement in reading. The author of the paper presents several suggestions to the teachers, to bring into full play of teacher's guidance in class, to implement the principle of wholeness teaching, to direct students to find out the hidden information beyond reading material and to attach importance to comment and feedback after reading, etc.
