The College English Test （CET） reform needs correct policy guidance. In order to promote the coordinated and steady development of CET, all around English examination evaluation value should be set up, the relation between CET and English teaching should be rationalized, the management of exam safety should be strengthened and exam technique and relevant experience of other countries should be used for reference.
