摘要
集中学习和分散学习是二语学习者学习单词的两种常用方法。如何合理分配时间,以便更加有利于二语学习,是一项值得关注的论题。本研究通过教学实验,考察分散学习与集中学习对两组共50名中等水平的英语学习者学习英语新词的影响。结果显示:尽管两种学习方法的效果都不是很理想,但分散学习在新词的学习、记忆及保持效果上优于集中学习。
Mass learning and distributed learning are two ways of allocating learning time. Previous research has produced contradictory findings regarding their effects on language learning. This paper reports on an English vocabulary learning experiment by employing mass versus distributed learning among 50 intermediate EFL learners. Research data show that although mass and distributed learning appear to result in low overall efficiency in vocabulary learning, distributed learning displays better effects on the learning and retention of new words than mass learning.
