摘要 Everyday, CHAI Erhong drives a motorcycle miles away to fetch water and irrigates his cotton fi elds. Though the water is salty and the cotton is low-yielding, they are two most important things for his living. Some of his neighbors, pushed out by the Everyday, CHAI Erhong drives a motorcycle miles away to fetch water and irrigates his cotton fields. Though the water is salty and the cotton is lowyielding, they are two most important things for his living. Some of his neighbors, pushed out by the drifting sands and water shortages, have left their homes in Minqin County to resettle elsewhere.
