考察村庄纠纷调解是认识中国乡村社会转型的切入点之一。文章以村庄纠纷的调解作为讨论对象,分析农村纠纷调解制度运作的村庄原因,并尝试提出一个系统的分析指标来认识村庄纠纷调解与村落政治的规律性。继而认为,从方法论上来讲,在对农村进行全面调查的基础上,选取一些重要的专题进行调查和研究,可逐步达到对中国农村社会及其非均衡状况的认识,并以此为基础建立起关于一般性农村政策在农村不同地区会有不同实践状态的理论知识,这种理论知识转而为农村政策研究者服务,为制定农村政策服务,事实上就提供了农村政策研究的理论基础。

Researching villages dispute resolutions is one gateway to understand China＇s trasition of rural society. The essay puts villages dispute resolution as targets, analysis the villages reasons of dispute resolutions in rural areas and try to reach the analysis indicators to understand the regularity. Then, we can believe that on the basis of a com- prehensive survey, doing some important research, it is possible to understand the Chinese rural society and its non - balanced position. From this point, we can build some theory knowledges that general rural policies put in different rural areas will get different practical status. These kind of knowledges will then service rural policy researchers and be the theory basic for rural policy research.
