A computer-based cutting force testing system applicable to metal cutting operations is described. This system is controlled by a microcomputer,an A/D board is used to carry out the analog-to-digital conversion and data acquisition and data processing are conducted by means of low-level language and high-level language respectively. It can measure cutting forces of various kinds and can also correctly draw cutting force change curves. This system is characterized by fast speed,high testing accuracy and high resolution.
