金圣叹有意用"画"评点《水浒传》有三个原因:文论与画论相通的文学批评史特点;接触的人物;才子观念。从更深的层次看,金圣叹用"画"点评《水浒传》源于其对"自我存在"的虚幻确认。

Firstly, the total discussed the significance of ＂paintings＂ and its development. Secondly, causes for JinShengtan＇ s using ＂paintings＂ on purpose to remark were analyzed： the convergence of literary theory and art theory in the history of literature critique ; the charicteristic of those people that Jin Shengtan had met; the influence of the ＂talents＂ notion. Thirdly, by exploring Jin Shengtan＇ s subconscious, the deep causes for his using ＂paintings＂ were further explored： his experience and observe into life; the contradiction between reality and ideal; the cognitive ＂uniformity ＂ between his own life experience and ＂paintings＂ and ＂the Water Margin＂. Finally, a conclusion could be drawn： the cause for Jin Shengtan＇ s using ＂paintings＇to remark was the cognitive aesthetic uniformity between ＂paintings＂, the Water Margin and himself.
