As a pioneer of Parnassus in Central Plains, Xu Yunuo＇ s great contribution for early modern poems is his profound thoughts. He pioneered to combine realism with modern poems. In addition, he always pursued the beauty of the art. That is one reason why he was so favored by the writers in the period of the May 4^th Movement. His rough life experience and his poems might be some valuable topics in academic reasearch.
