如果说普通涂料装饰了人们日常生活每个角落的话，那麽特种涂料则活跃在有特殊要求的各个领域。据2007年9月24—25日在西安召开的首届特种涂料技术及应用研讨会上透露，中国特种涂料已迎来发展机遇期，其在涂料总产量中所占比重将进一步增加，2010年特种涂料产量将达N80-120万吨．环保节能的多功能化特种涂料将有巨大的发展空间。

China special paint is experiencing an opportunity with its share in the total amount of paint further increased. The production of special paints is predicted to amount to 80,000 to 1, 200,000 tons by 2010. Additionally, the multifunction paint featuring environment friendly and energy saving will enjoy greater scope for development.
