摘要
This paper tries to clarify the systematic relation between the idea of le(pleasure or happiness)in classical Chinese thinkers and the human psychological phenomenon of pleasure. Firstly it presents a typology of psychological phenomenon of pleasures; then by a contrastive analysis of Confucianism and Taoism in terms of Le, it analyzes the development of the idea in Neo-Confucianism. Finally, it reviews the problem of Le in the light of the happiness in order to display the modern value of classical thought at last.
