With the possibility and necessity of the campaign to promote children reading as the penetration point, this paper has discussed the indispensable role of the libraries in promotion of children＇ s reading. Specific performance of its creating relaxed atmosphere for reading, building of a wide range of reading resources, inspiring children＇ s feeling of reading, training of traditional reading habits, recommending books to promote reading, using family model and school model for reading, etc.
