History and Chance of Theoretical Studies on Marxist Sociology

改革开放以来,虽然马克思主义社会学理论研究取得了一些进展,但同社会学其他方面的研究状况相比,仍然是当代中国社会学研究的一个薄弱环节。马克思主义社会学理论研究薄弱的原因,不仅在于受到了"左"倾教条主义和实证主义等西方社会学流派的影响,而且也在于中国社会学的自我意识不足,未能把马克思主义社会学看作中国社会学的重要组成部分。因此,我们应当明确认识马克思主义社会学的本质特点和历史地位,在空前有利的机遇下努力推进马克思主义社会学理论研究。

Since the Chinese reform and opening-up, some progress has been made in the studies of Marxist sociological theory. However, in comparison with other sociologic studies, it is still a weak link of contemporary Chinese sociologic studies. The cause leading to the weakness in Marxist sociology studies is not only influenced by the western sociologic schools of left dogmatism and positivism, but also influenced by the weak self-awareness of Chinese sociology which does not look upon the Marxist sociology as an important part of Chinese sociology. Thus, it is time to affirm the essential features and historic position of Marxist sociology, and to put forward the theoretical studies of Marxist sociology at this unprecedented time.
