The most important point of specialty construction in a burgeoning local undergraduate college is to build a distinctive system of courses adaptable to the local economic and social development, to shoulder the duty of serving the local place, to adhere to the principle of making overall plans and take all factors into consideration, to reasonably arrange the specialties, to guarantee the key specialty, and to nurture the distinctive specialty and step-by-step development of the specialties, with the idea of emphasizing elementariness, keeping locality, considering regionality, strengthening service, and stressing practicality.
