During the medical rescue of the pregnant women and children wounded in Wenchuan earthquake, West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University, as the largest women and children hospital as well as the center of diagnosis and treatment of difficult and critical diseases in west China, its medical rescue system has gone through a great proof. Our hospital im- mediately transferred the normal medical state to the double-track emergency, including the triage, transport, reception, treatment and the rehabilitation till hospital discharge. As a result, these orderly running and unobstructed medical system has provided a reliable guarantee for the timely treatment of the women and children injured and the effectively management for the special disease and complicated diseases about Obstetrics and Pediatrics. All of these actions have ensured the pregnant women and children of disastrous zone to get the high quality diagnosis and treatment. No pregnant women died, at the same time, has made sure the maximum cure rate and the minimum mortality rate as well as the disability rate.
