It is necessary to innovate the training course of English teaching techniques in normal universities and to make it an important part to accelerate the professionalization of teachers and also a necessary part to realize the integrative teacher education. This article discusses the main contents, basic approaches and methods of training of English teaching techniques based on English teachers＇ challenges faced with the new English curriculum and the demand of the professional skills of pre-English-teachers in an era of teacher specialization.
