耶利内克的互文和戏仿蕴含着自身没有企图的目的。在瓦尔泽的文本躯壳里,耶利内克延伸着瓦尔泽放弃文学主体的文学观,其手法是对叙述主体和主体意识的消解。耶利内克在《他不是他》中演绎了瓦尔泽这种文学主体的"涅磐":在主体掩蔽、主客体含混、梦幻和睡眠中确立现代文学的价值。
The intertextuality and parody found in Elfriede Jelinek implicate an aim with no intention of its own. Right in Robert Walser's textual body, Jelinek extends Walser's view that the literary subject should be given up. By a deconstruction of narrative subject and subjective consciousness, Jelinek attempts to display Robert Walser's 'nirvana' of the literary subject in her er ist nicht er: to establish the value of modern literature in the form of hiding the subject, blurring the demarcation of the subject and the object, as well as dreaming and sleeping.
