国际关系理论研究中的“科学主义陷阱”

The Scientism Trap in International Relations Theoretical Studies

作为一门独立的社会科学,国际关系理论并不统一。本体论有物质主义与观念主义之争,认识论有理性主义与经验主义之分,方法论有实证主义与反思主义之别。美国主流学派所推崇的科学主义,将国际关系理论研究带人由实证主义方法论决定本体论和认识论的"陷阱"之中。国际关系学者应明确其不同于自然科学学者的使命,从具体条件下的具体问题入手。构建中国特色的国际关系理论既是由中国所面临的问题所决定的,也是中国学者的使命。

As an independent discipline in social sciences,International Relations Theory is not unified.Ontology is di- vided into materialism and idealism;epistemology is divided into rationalism and empiricism;methodology is divided into positivism and reflectivism.The scientism advocated by American mainstream school brings IR theoretical studies into a trap which emphasizes that positivist methodology decides ontology and epistemology. IR scholars should be aware that their mission is different from nature scientists',and start their study from specific issues under specific conditions.Establishing IR Theory with Chinese characteristics is related to issues China faces and is also Chinese scholars'mission.
