在人类漫长的历史发展进程中,不同文化之间的交流存在的基于自身文化传统而对"他者"文化产生的与其文化本质不相符的解读是在所难免的。当今中国,综合国力日益增强,重振文化的辉煌,改变近代以来中西文化交流中的"单向透支"和"文化赤字"现象十分必要。武术作为中国文化的一个象征性符号,在近代与西方文化的碰撞与交流中,受"文化误读"的影响,发生了一系列的变化,其结果的历史意义需要我们进行及时的反思,以利于其今后的进一步发展。

In the long historical development of the human beings, the communications between different cultures are based on their own cultures and misreading of other cultures and things different from their cultures. At present,the comprensive national power has increased. It is necessary to promote the Chinese culture to solve problems in the communications between the western and the Chinese cultures. Wushu,as a symbol of the Chinese culture, has been misread during recent years. Changes have been undertaken and there is need to review its history.
