一种新型高线性度5GHz WLAN正交调制器和上变频器的设计

摘要 提出了一种应用于IEEE802.11a无线局域网中的5GHz高线性度新型正交调制器和上变频器。我们在正交调制器中运用了一种新型的结构来获得很高的线性度,在上变频器电路中,LC谐振网络充当负载来提高变频增益且增大输出电压的范围。电路采用JAZZ0.18μm1P6M混合信号CMOS工艺实现,芯片版图面积1.01mm×0.89mm。后仿真结果表明,与以前相关电路相比,该电路的线性度有明显的改善:输入1dB压缩点为2.48dBm,变频增益为0dB,1.8V供电时的静态工作电流为32.5mA。 A new highly linear module of 5 GHz quadrature modulator and upconverter for an IEEE802. lla WLAN application is presented. For the modulator a new topology is used to achieve a high linearity,and inthe up-converter, a LC resonant network is used as the load to improve the conversion gain and enlarge the output voltage range. The proposed module was simulated with JAZZ 0. 18/μm mixed-signal 1P6M CMOS process. The layout size is 1.01 mmx 0. 89 mm. Simulations of the extracted layout results show a high linearity improvement over former ones, with input 1 dB compression point of 2.48 dBm and a conversion gain of 0 dB. The DC consumption current is 10. 5 mA/22 mA for the core/buffer at VDD=1.8 V.
