摘要
本文基于最新的MMC4.1协议,设计了一款基于AHB总线的低功耗MMC卡控制器。设计采用了高性能改进异步FIFO。针对MMC卡常用于便携式产品中的低功耗需求,采用了动态功耗管理和门控时钟技术,可降低功耗约60%;探讨了一种基于SoC高性能接口控制器电路通用体系架构,已成功应用到多种接口控制器的设计中。设计通过了仿真(NC-Veril-og)、综合(DC)以及FPGA验证,嵌入到单板系统中,实现了与MMC存储卡之间的数据传输。
Based on Multi-Media Card Specification Revision 4. 1, just released, a high performance and low power MMC host controller has been designed. The design supports AMBA 2.0 AHB interface, with the improved asynchronous FIFO, the data transform performance can be improved largely. As MMC Cards are usually used in portable type products, which need to be design for low power, dynamic power manage and clock gating methods are proposed, by reducing the power about 60%. In addition, a high perform- ance universal interface controller system structure is discussed, which had been applied successfully to many interface host controllers which based on SoC bus. The design is simulated and synthesized in NC- Verilog of Cadence Company and DC of Synopsys Company. It had been verified in FPGA and had realized the transmission of data with the MMC card.
