Discourse Pragmatics:Discourse Perspective on Syntactic Structure

语篇语用学探讨语法与语篇之间的关系,并把句法结构的研究延伸到语篇的层面。语篇语用学从语篇语境的角度研究句法结构的选择与语篇功能。语篇语用学认为,当语言中的同一个意义可以体现为不同的句法结构时,这些结构往往具有不同的语篇功能,同时,对句法结构的选择受到语篇因素的制约。

Discourse pragmatics is concerned with the relationship between grammar and discourse, and it extends the study of syntactic structure to the level of discourse. The discourse -pragmatic approach to syntax focuses on the selection of syntactic structures and the diseourse functions of syntactic structures from the perspective of their emerging discourse environments. According to discourse pragmatics, when the same meaning is realized by different syntactic structures, they usually perform different discourse functions, and the selection of syntactic structures is constrained by discourse factors.
