通过对《红楼梦》中"配角"人物贾琏、甄宝玉、薛蝌、封肃的艺术形象进行分析,阐释了《红楼梦》作者的高超之处,是将每一个"配角"人物都置于现实广泛的社会联系和人与人交往之中来凸显自己的地位和生存样态,从而表达他们独有的性格特征。

By means of an analysis of the artistic images in A Dream of Red Mansions like Jia Lian, Zhen Baoyu, Xue Ke and Feng Su, the excellence of the author of A Dream of Red Mansions is expounded in that every character of ＂minor roles＂ is set up in a broad social association and interpersonal communication for the sake of projecting their stares and state of existence so that their peculiar characteristics in personality are illustrated.
