This paper introduces the drillability of rocks denoted by rock solidity. The drill ability of the surrounding rocks of tunnels can be determined by specifis work consumed in drilling. Site tests in a long tunnel show, indicating rock drillability by this specific work is in dependent from the type of drilling tools and operating parameters and is high in creditability and practical value.
