顾颉刚先生撰写的《购求中国图书计划书》提出现代意义上的办馆理念,打破传统图书馆文献信息资源建设的框架,对图书馆信息资源建设的进一步发展有着深远的影响:启发杜定友先生的地方文献思想,并指导其在地方文献收集、整理和利用方面的实践;顾廷龙先生将其作为终生的图书采访指南,并遵循其指导收集家谱、抢救历史文献、保护革命文献和搜集民国间出版的丛书等。因此,顾颉刚先生的《购求中国图书计划书》是杜定友与顾廷龙二位先生地方文献建设与文献采访工作的思想来源。

The Plan of Chinese Books Acquisition written by Mr. Gu Jiegang shows modern library thoughts and breaks the frame of traditional information resources development of libraries. His ideas have a profound influence to information resources development. Firstly, it affects the forming of Mr. Du Dingyou＇ s local document development theory and guides him to collect, manage and access local documents. Secondly, Mr. Gu Tinglong looks at the the plan as his acquisition guide in his lifetime. With the guide of the plan, Mr. Gu Tinglong collects the genealogy documents, saves the history documents, protects the revolutionary documents, and collects series published during the Republic of China. Therefore, The Plan of Chinese Books Acquisition affects the forming of Mr. Du Dingyou＇ s local document development and Mr. Gu Tinglong＇ s acquisition working.
