《焚书》刊刻过程、版本及真伪

目前见到的《焚书》,以顾大韶校定本《李温陵集》最可靠。单行本《李氏焚书》中的后二卷"读史"、"诗汇"非李贽亲定《焚书》所有。《焚书》曾先后刊刻四次。第一次为万历十八年四月,共有耿、李论辩之"书答"与写失友孤苦的"老苦"二卷41篇;第二次刊刻时间为万历二十年四月,增加"书答"一卷21篇、"杂述"一卷22篇,成为四卷;第三次刊刻时间为万历二十八年,将"老苦"、"书答"合为一卷,又增"杂述"38篇为一卷,并于其他卷加入30篇,构成新四卷四册;第四次是李贽死后,将"读史"、"诗汇"收入后的《李氏焚书》本。《焚书》除《玉合》等数篇为赝文外,余皆出自李贽之手。

At present the most reliable version of The Burnt Words is The Collected Words of Li Wenling, which was proofread by Gu Dashao. The last two volumes of The Burnt Word of Li, namely, The Record of Reading History and The Poems are not included in The Burnt Words personally acknowledged by Li. The Burnt Words had been published and spread for four times, the first three of which span a time from 1590 to 1600, and the last and posthumous edition contains the two volumes of The Record of Reading History and The Poems. Most of the articles in The Burnt Words are true except ＂Yu He＂ and some others.
